  • Manage the WSA Artificial Lift Sales organization.
  • Win 2 key contracts to increase market share in location.

Artificial Lift Asia Region Operations Support Mgr. (H2 2008)
Jakarta, Indonesia

Primary responsibilities:

  • Implementation of Artificial Lift segment Excellence in Execution initiatives in the Asia Region.

Specific achievements

  • Developed a Service Quality based incentive program for ART Centers in Jakarta and Pekanbaru.

Artificial Lift Business Development Mgr. (2003 – 2008)
Shekou, China

Primary responsibilities:

  • Provide focused sales support to Artificial Lift customers in China and Japan, acting as the main technical and commercial interface between Customers, Field Operations and the Artificial Lift Marketing & Product Sales support group.
  • Responsible for managing the CHG Artificial Lift Sales organization.

Specific achievements

  • 5 year competition shut out: Directed successful proposal, awards, and negotiations for every South China Artificial Lift formal tender issued from 2003 to 2008. During this time my team increased Schlumberger ESP well count in the South China market from ~45 in 2003 to ~120, with annual revenue increasing from ~$8M to ~$28M. By comparison our competitors were not awarded any new ESP contracts in South China during the same period.

Artificial Lift Client Support Mgr. (H2 2002 – H1 2003)

Primary responsibilities:

  • Provide sales support to Artificial Lift customers in China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan, acting as the main technical interface between Customers, Field Operations and the WCP Marketing & Product Sales support group.
  • Manage the CHG AL Applications Engineering group (ESP’s, ESPCP’s, Gas Lift, Hydraulic Lift).

Specific achievements

  • Successful bid on major contract in South China, enabled location of Artificial lift sales management team in Shekou, China.

Artificial Lift Senior Application Engineer (2000 – 2002)
Cairo, Egypt
Artificial Lift Application Engineer (1997 – 2000)
Dubai, U.A.E.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement self-directed marketing strategy and assume profit and loss responsibility for REDA Electric Submersible Pumps in Syria and Iraq.
  • Represent REDA in four-year ESP performance-based supply and service contract for major oil operating company in Syria.
  • Prepare all technical ESP designs and commercial proposals required for Syria and Iraq.
  • Supervise REDA Sales Specialist (quotations and order processing)
  • Provide support to Senior REDA Application Engineer responsible for Yemen, Iran, and Syria, including ESP design, equipment selection, marketing strategy, sales forecasting, and contract management.

Specific achievements

  • Supply contract won and processed through United Nations MOU (Oil for Food) into Iraq (first contract in Schlumberger after Gulf War)
  • Successful management and closure of 30 well performance based contract in Syria.
