Phase 1 –Initial Field Data Review and Workshop

  • - Feasibility study review
  • - Identify any areas that might present difficulties for selected ESP deployment method
  • - Provide estimated power requirements
  • - Provide brief vendor comparison
  • - Host workshop with all stakeholders

Phase 2 –FEED Study

  • - Topsides and facilities design advice
  • - Detailed ESP designs
  • - Advice on medium voltage drive selection
  • - Field power requirements
  • - Completion design philosophy
  • - Vendor and ESP deployment comparison
  • - Provision of final recommendations for procurement of equipment
  • - Economic study and cost comparison between different deployment methods
  • - Preparation of final report and powerpointformat for ease of presentation
Project Conclusion

ALS involvement in the project has allowed the Operator to make a decision on deployment of WRESPs and to begin the contracting process. It has also provided a full understanding of the requirements for deployment of both WRESP and conventional ESP systems. Finally, by using the ALS economic study the operator was able to clearly see the cost and production benefit of each deployment method.

ALS helped demonstrate WRESPs were suitable for this project and a good option for the field as an ESP deployment method based on the operator’s critical factors. All technical requirements for facilities, deployment and completion design were identified and presented in a final document for the operator allowing them to make critical business decisions. ALS will assist with project execution at a later date as/when requested by the Operator.
